Essential Chocolate Waffle Batter

| 🍫 Dark chocolate (70% cocoa) | 150 g, chopped |
| 🧈 Unsalted butter | 6½ tbsp (100 g), chopped |
| 🥚 Large eggs | 2 |
| 🥛 Milk | 375 ml |
| 🌿 Vanilla extract | 1½ tsp |
| 🌾 Plain flour | 300 g |
| 🍚 Caster sugar | 150 g |
| 🍫 Cocoa powder | 25 g |
| 🧪 Baking powder | 1 tsp |
| 🧂 Coarse salt | 1 tsp |

Instructions
- Select CHOCOLATE waffle setting and dial up number 4 on the LIGHT/DARK indicator dial.
- Preheat until the orange light flashes and the word HEATING disappears.
- Meanwhile, put the chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on High in 30 second bursts, stirring until melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Put the eggs, milk and vanilla in a medium bowl and whisk until well combined. Stir in cooled chocolate mixture.
- Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a large bowl and make a well in the center.
- Whisk the egg mixture into the flour mixture to form a smooth batter.
- Pour ½ cup of batter into each waffle square and close the lid to cook.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve topped with cream, strawberries, raspberries and chocolate sauce.
