Terms and Conditions for the Sage Africa Online Shop
1. Scope of Applicability
These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all purchases made via the Sage Africa online shop at www.sageafrica.co.za and govern the relationship between Sage Appliances (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (hereinafter referred to as “Sage”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), and the purchaser (“you”, “the customer”).
Any deviation from these Terms must be expressly agreed to in writing by Sage. By placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Conclusion of Contract
All orders must be placed online via www.sageafrica.co.za. Product listings are invitations to treat and do not constitute a binding offer.
You may amend your order prior to checkout. By clicking the “Complete Order” button, you submit a legally binding offer. Upon receipt, you will receive an order confirmation email. However, a contract is only concluded once we dispatch the order and send a shipping confirmation.
Sage reserves the right to decline or cancel any order at its discretion, especially where fraud or misuse is suspected.
We do not sell products to individuals under 18 years of age.
3. Right of Return (Cooling-Off Period)
In line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), you have the right to return goods within 7 business days of delivery for any reason (cooling-off period), provided:
- The goods are in a resalable condition (unused, in original packaging, with tags and manuals intact).
- You notify us in writing at hello@wingsgroup.co.za within 7 business days of receiving the goods.
- Return shipping costs are covered by you unless the goods are defective or delivered in error.
Refunds
Refunds will be processed within 10 business days after the returned goods are received and inspected. Refunds will be made via the original payment method.
4. Prices and Shipping Costs
Prices displayed include Value Added Tax (VAT) in South Africa.
Standard shipping is charged at R99 for orders under R1,000. Free shipping applies to orders above R1,000 unless otherwise stated. There are no additional fees for accepted payment methods.
5. Delivery
We currently deliver within South Africa only. Expected delivery times range from 2 to 7 business days, subject to location and availability.
If we are unable to fulfill your order due to unavailability or supplier issues, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund for the unavailable items.
If delivery fails due to incorrect address details provided by you, or if goods cannot be received at the time of delivery, you may be liable for re-delivery charges.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is required in full at the time of checkout. We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Instant EFT
- PayFlex
- PayJustNow
- SnapScan (if applicable)
No goods will be dispatched before successful payment.
7. Offsetting and Retention
You may not offset any amounts owed to you against payments due to Sage unless legally enforceable or acknowledged in writing by us.
8. Retention of Ownership
Goods remain the property of Sage until full payment has been received. Until that point, resale, modification, or pledge of the goods is not permitted.
9. Warranty and Liability
All goods are sold with warranties as required by South African law. If a product is found to be defective within 6 months of purchase, you are entitled to:
- Repair,
- Replacement, or
- Full refund (subject to product inspection and nature of defect).
This excludes damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or unauthorised modifications.

Sage is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or any damages not directly caused by our negligence or breach of duty. Our liability is capped to the value of the product purchased unless otherwise required by law.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).
Disputes shall be resolved amicably in the first instance. If no resolution is reached, disputes may be escalated to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO).
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Sage complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Your personal data will be used only to process your order, for customer support, and to comply with legal obligations.
